I think it was one of the most instructive and enjoyable training days I have attended (Church or otherwise). I would like to learn more of reading Scripture ‘as a Jew’ as I found that aspect of particular interest. As a young Christian, apart from the outstanding characters ie. Joseph, Samson etc all seemed to stand alone as individual stories, the Old Testament was a mystery and rarely touched by the Church. Thank goodness that has changed.

John was brilliant. Just so much we don’t understand, so many mis-translations! He held even the most learned of folk but didn’t lose the rest of us... In the breaks everyone was discussing and saying how good it was. To keep us interested all day was quite incredible!! The notes of course are brilliant because there was so much that we couldn’t possibly all take in or remember, but we can go back over the notes. A very worthwhile day.
