Promoting the study of the Bible from a First Century perspective

Helping believers understand how Jesus (Yeshua) and His disciples read, studied and understood the Bible.

Abigail Trust works to promote the study of the Bible, to help believers understand how Jesus (Yeshua) and His disciples read, studied and understood it.   You have magnified Your word above all Your name. (Ps 138.2), therefore it is vital that we know His Word and interpret it correctly in these confusing times.

Our booklets cover topics such as the Foundations of our Faith, How to study the Bible for ourselves, the Miracles, the Parables, the background to the Biblical Feasts, the Second Coming, and How God speaks to us through the heavens, and more.  The aim is to broaden our understanding of the Scriptures, and to get to know God in a deeper way.   As it says “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (Joh 17:3)

Jesus (Yeshua) came as our Saviour and Redeemer, but he also came to teach us how to live as complete human beings, healthy physically and psychologically. The Bible explains how the LORD wants us to have a relationship with Him, with our neighbours, with friends, and with families, how to live functionally. As we look at the world, suffering is everywhere on a global scale as well as the individual level. Jesus came to put right all that humanity has done to separate itself from “living and moving and having our being in Him”

Our aim is to broaden our understanding of the Scriptures, and to get to know God in a deeper way.

Our Mission in a nutshell

Jesus the Messiah - Study Guide
Jesus (Yeshua) came as our Saviour and Redeemer, but he also came to teach us how to live as complete human beings, healthy physically and psychologically. The Bible explains how the LORD wants us to have a relationship with Him, with our neighbours, with friends, and with families, how to live functionally. As we look at the world, suffering is everywhere on a global scale as well as the individual level. Jesus came to put right all that humanity has done to separate itself from "living and moving and having our being in Him" This book is a Study Guide to restoring our relationship with Jesus; how in Him we can find the healing and deliverance that we all need from our diseases, broken hearts, fears, depression, captivities and burdens.
Jesus the Coming One
Jesus (Yeshua) came to earth the first time two thousand years ago. Before His Resurrection, He prophesied that He would return. As two thirds of the Prophecies in the Bible have already been fulfilled to the letter, we can be confident the remaining Prophecies will also be fulfilled exactly as they are set out in the Bible. The challenge is to place the Prophecies in logical order. This study attempts to set out the order of events within the framework of God’s Calendar. This book follows on from the author’s first book, ‘Jesus, the Messiah’.
The Foundations of our Faith Series
'In the Beginning' challenges us to ask ourselves what do we really believe in - who is God, what is He like? 'Choose for Yourselves' When we read the Bible, we must know that it is true. Here is the proof, along with God's ultimate plan & what has gone wrong so far. 'The Word Dwelt among Us' God's solution to our sin. 'Repentance & Faith towards God' The 'how to' of repentance, and what is Biblical faith These foundations deal with our past. 'Baptisms & Laying on of Hands' The meaning of Baptisms - water & Holy Spirit, & what actually happens at the laying on of hands. These foundations deal with the present. 'Resurrection & Eternal Life' When we will be resurrected, and what there is in store for us at the Eternal Judgment; what really faces us in the future.
Studying the Bible from a Hebraic Viewpoint
'How to Study the Bible' This booklet gives the background to the Bible and how to approach the study of it, the helps that are needed, and the reading plan within the Bible itself. 'Do you understand what you are reading?' An introduction to the language of the Bible, what it says about itself, what Torah means, and how Paul's views have been misunderstood. 'Study Guide to Reading' the Bible A booklet that covers the Reading Plan within the Bible itself & how it fits in with John's Gospel. It explains the differences between Hebrew & Greek thought, word association, idioms, wordplays, parallelisms & much more. 'List of the Up-to-Date Triennial Torah Readings' These are the readings for the three and a half years going through the whole of the Torah (Pentateuch). John Barnett sends out a weekly online set of questions exploring and explaining these readings. Answers are sent out the following week with explanation & background where necessary.

"Your Word is Truth (John17.17) You have magnified Your word above all Your name. (Ps 138.2)"

I think the session I learnt the most from was John Barnett, giving the Jewish perspective, but I have more questions on that, so still left wanting more ! This were such amazing revelations in this that it is hard to know why the Christian church has not looked at this perspective in as much detail before, and I realize that it is only a perspective, but a very educated one, but so much of it joined dots that I did not know were even there.
